What began as an experiment in 1978 with The
Disco Doll’s Dilemma and Orange Crushmas in Denver has
developed into a strong, enterprising group of young actors
presenting a full menu of Broadway hits to enthusiastic
audiences.
Twenty-eight
years of Music, Dance, Acting and Fun have made their mark on
the audiences
and actors who have participated in YGP's many shows. This
past season marks the 149th “Main Company production
of YGP's musicals. Let's
hope the next seasons are at least half as much fun! Break a leg, YGP!!
In
the last 28 years YGP's young actors have presented many exciting
shows such as Carousel; Guys and Dolls; Damn Yankees; Annie
Get Your Gun; The Fantasticks; The Boy Friend; Grease; The
Music Man; Li l Abner; Annie; Peter Pan; The Sound of Music;
The Wizard of Oz; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Snoopy!!!;
Oliver!; Barnum; George M!; Where's Charley?; Bye Bye Birdie;
42nd Street; Hello Dolly!; Babes in Arms; Annie Warbucks; Oklahoma;

White and the Seven Dwarfs; Footloose; Cinderella; Sugar and

Greg Moody, Critic at Large for KCNC-TV, CBS4 writes: “This is a program that reaches out to both children and adults, on stage and in the audience, giving them a wealth of theatrical and entertainment experience. I see theater in many ways in many theaters. I
see little that can match this for what it gives both performers
and the audience.”
